Fuel Storage Tank Re-Circulation & Fuel Conditioning Kits

High-quality fuel is important in the effective and efficient running of machinery. Fuel that is left sitting still for extended periods such as in emergency tanks or backup systems can become contaminated if not cared for properly.

The fuel storage tank re-circulation and fuel conditioning kits that we supply prevent fuel from becoming contaminated over time and make sure that the fuel is ready for use at any time. The kits can be fitted to data centre backup generator tanks, hospital emergency generator ranks, or any other installation where fuel is at risk.

CJC fine filters – oil filtration solutions

CJC™ Fine Filters supplied by West Fuel Systems are offline oil filtration solutions with integrated circulating pumps for offline installation. The filters are recognized around the world as highly efficient purification systems for applications involving hydraulic oil, lubrication oil, gear oil, quenching oil, phosphate esters and more.

CJC™ Fine Filters are ideal for controlling oil contamination levels for particles, water and degradation products (oxidation resin/sludge, varnish).

The CJC™ Depth Filters have a filtration degree of 3 microns absolute and a very large dirt-holding capacity.

CJC™ Fine Filters deliver measurable customer benefits: lower operation and maintenance costs, increased productivity, and maximum lifetime for system components, in-line filters and oil.

The modular filter units are built and sized to specific customer requirements – whether the oil volume is 2 litres or 200,000 litres.

Standard Features:

  • As per our standard re-circulation kit (RK).Fuel Conditioning
  • When the pump flow rate drops below a preset limit (indicating a clogged filter) the flow switch closes & a warning light flashes (for the RKA a sounder also activates & a powerful flashing beacon replaces the RK warning light).
  • Can be linked to our remote warning device (RWD2).
  • External alarm outputs, rated at 230VAC 10A max.
  • 230V pump unit, inlet strainer, fuel conditioner, flow switch, filter clogged warning light, timer & mains junction box.
  • Mounted on a wall/tank mounting plate.
  • Weatherproof for outdoor use.

Filtration:

  • Better fuel filtration is becoming more important due to modern engines & critical power situations ie transport bulk fuel storage tanks & generator bulk fuel storage tanks.
  • We offer a 10-micron particle/water filter kit clear bowl assembly re our standard re-circulation kit (RKF).

The CTS Fuel Recirculation Units supplied by West Fuel Systems are designed to be installed to prevent diesel fuel inside a storage tank from getting stagnant – particularly those with low usage such as generator backup tanks, that whilst not regularly used are of vital importance. By keeping the fuel free of contaminants and bugs, costly damage and downtime to equipment and vehicles are avoided.

The fuel storage tank circulation system draws the fuel up from the front of the tank through the magnetic conditioner, keeping any bacteria microbes dormant, and then through two-stage water and particle filtration process to remove any impurities before circulating back into the tank.

The CTS storage tank recirculation unit has an input for connecting to an alarm/gauge to detect a low fuel level and a leak probe for a drip tray (if installed). Benefiting from a control panel with large, coloured lights, any issues that need to be dealt with i.e. filter blocked, low fuel level, a leak or a system fault can be easily diagnosed. If the system identifies any of the above issues, the pump will turn off until necessary action has been taken as a safeguard. Complete with two BMS outputs, the control panel can also send a signal of this to warn users remotely.

There are two versions of the CTS Fuel Tank Circulation System; one for circulating (50lpm) a maximum of 3000 litres per day for tanks up to 40,000 litres, and another for circulating (70lpm) a maximum of 4000 litres per day for tanks up to 70,000 litres. Tank contents should be recirculated every 28 days to prevent bacteria colonies from forming. Our systems are set to turn over 1.5 times the tank contents every 28 days to include a safety margin.

Please note that other makes and models fuel storage Conditioner/Re-Circulation Kits are available on request.
